To wear heels or not is very much a personal choice. All of our pole fitness classes are conducted barefoot, but you have the option to wear heels for our choreography classes. Our Pole Dance classes are your opportunity to dance. While our choreography classes are graded, they generally do not incorporate tricks or combos, so you are able to dance at any level! We do however require you have done at least 5 beginner pole classes before joining and we recommend you start in one of the Level 1 classes. The choreography classes are listed as ‘Pole Dance Choreography’ on the timetable, all our other classes are fitness focused.

We have both 40mm & 45mm brass poles which can easily switch between static & spin. It’s important to develop skills on both so we like to mix it up in class.

All our beginners classes are conducted on a static pole to give students the opportunity to develop skills while maintaining control. This approach promotes correct technique while building strength, prevents injury and ensures longevity in the sport.

Once you reach pre-intermediate we progress to spinning pole and learn how to hold on while safely engaging the shoulder and back muscles. After these levels, static or spinning pole tricks and technique are taught at the discretion of the instructor.
